Terms of Service

Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of SoftHoursCo.com and the purchase of any Soft Hours products. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to the terms below. We've written them as plainly as we can, but legal sections still need to read as legal sections in places — that's just how this works.

If anything here is unclear, email hello@softhoursco.com and we'll explain it plainly.

1. About Soft Hours

SoftHoursCo.com is operated by Soft Hours ("we," "us," "our"). When you place an order or use our website, you ("you," "the customer") agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility

To place an order with Soft Hours, you must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to enter into a legally binding contract. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

If you are purchasing on behalf of a minor as a gift, that is fine — but you, the adult purchaser, are the party agreeing to these terms.

3. Products

We sell wellness devices designed for everyday recovery routines. Specifically:

  • TheraWrap™ — a red and near-infrared light wrist wrap with gentle warmth

We may add additional products to the Soft Hours range over time (TheraMask, TheraBelt, TheraEye, and others). Any products added will be covered by these same terms.

4. Wellness Disclaimer

This section is important. Please read it carefully.

TheraWrap and all Soft Hours products are wellness devices, not medical devices.

They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, illness, injury, or medical condition. Statements made on SoftHoursCo.com, in our marketing materials, on our packaging, or by our customer service team have not been evaluated by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the European Medicines Agency (EMA), the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), or any other regulatory body.

Customer testimonials and reviews on our website reflect individual experiences. Results vary from person to person. Nothing on this website constitutes medical advice.

You should consult a qualified healthcare professional before using TheraWrap if:

  • You have any diagnosed medical condition
  • You are pregnant, nursing, or trying to conceive
  • You have an implanted electronic medical device, including but not limited to pacemakers, defibrillators, insulin pumps, or neurostimulators
  • You take prescription medication
  • You have photosensitive epilepsy or any condition affecting your response to light
  • You have skin conditions, recent surgical wounds, or active infections in the area where the device would be worn

By purchasing and using TheraWrap, you confirm that you have read this disclaimer and accept that the device is a wellness tool used at your own discretion.

5. Pricing and Payment

All prices on SoftHoursCo.com are shown in US dollars unless otherwise indicated. Prices are subject to change without notice, though changes will never affect orders that have already been placed.

Payment is processed at the time of order via our payment processor (Shopify Payments) and accepted methods including major credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay.

If a payment fails or is declined, your order will not be processed. You'll be notified by email so you can try a different payment method.

We reserve the right to cancel any order in cases of suspected fraud, payment issues, pricing errors, or stock unavailability. If we cancel an order, any payment already taken will be refunded in full.

6. Orders and Order Acceptance

When you place an order, you'll receive a confirmation email — this confirms we've received your order, not that we've accepted it. The order is accepted only when we dispatch it.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Suspected fraudulent activity
  • Customer abuse, threats, or harassment of our team
  • Stock unavailability or product discontinuation
  • Pricing errors (clearly mistaken prices, e.g. a $0.99 listing for a $89.99 product)
  • Shipping to addresses where we cannot reliably deliver

If we cancel an order on our side, you'll receive a full refund within 5–10 business days.

7. Shipping

Shipping is covered in detail in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Returns and Refunds

Returns and refunds are covered in detail in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. The 60-day trial described there applies to all eligible orders.

9. Warranty

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage from misuse, accidents, drops, or modifications
  • Normal cosmetic wear (small scratches, fabric pilling, fading from extended use)
  • Damage from exposure to water beyond the device's stated rating
  • Damage from using non-original charging cables or chargers
  • Devices that have been opened, dismantled, or repaired by unauthorized parties

To claim warranty service, email hello@softhoursco.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and photo or video documentation. We'll repair the device, send a replacement, or issue a refund — whichever is appropriate.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on SoftHoursCo.com — including product names, logos, the "Soft Hours" wordmark, photography, copy, design, illustrations, and any other materials — is the property of Soft Hours and protected by copyright and trademark law.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or commercially use any content from our website without our prior written permission.

The "TheraWrap™" name and the Soft Hours brand identity are trademarks of Soft Hours. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

11. User Conduct

When using our website or interacting with our team, you agree not to:

  • Attempt to interfere with the website's operation, security, or accessibility
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the website without permission
  • Submit false information, fraudulent payment details, or fake identities
  • Harass, threaten, abuse, or behave inappropriately toward our staff
  • Post defamatory, misleading, or fraudulent reviews

We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or take legal action where appropriate in response to violations of these conduct standards.

12. Reviews and User Content

If you submit a review, photo, comment, or any other user-generated content to our website or social channels, you grant Soft Hours a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and reproduce that content for marketing and promotional purposes.

You retain ownership of your content. You also confirm that the content is genuinely yours, accurate, and not infringing on anyone else's rights.

We reserve the right to remove any user content that we consider misleading, abusive, or inappropriate.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Soft Hours' total liability to you for any claim related to a product or order is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question.

Soft Hours is not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Lost profits, lost data, or lost business opportunities
  • Outcomes related to your use of the product where you have not followed the instructions or our wellness disclaimer
  • Issues arising from carrier delays, customs holds, or events outside our reasonable control

Nothing in this section limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or other liabilities that cannot legally be limited.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Soft Hours, our officers, employees, and partners harmless from any claims, losses, or damages (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the product, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

15. Privacy

Your personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available at SoftHoursCo.com/policies/terms-of-service, with the last revision date shown at the bottom.

Material changes will be communicated by email to recent customers and posted prominently on the website. Continued use of the website or placing of new orders after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Soft Hours is registered. Any disputes will be handled first through good-faith communication between you and our team.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be subject to the courts of our registered jurisdiction.

18. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining sections continue in full force.

19. Contact

For questions about these Terms, email hello@softhoursco.com. We aim to respond within 1–2 business days.

That's both. A few honest notes:

1. Replace "[date you publish this]" at the bottom of the Terms with the actual date when you publish them.

2. The Terms reference your business jurisdiction in Section 17 — this should be the country/state where your business is legally registered. If you're operating as a sole trader in the Netherlands (your store is in CEST timezone and your domain has been NL-focused), that would be Dutch law. If you have an LLC in another country, use that. If you don't know, ask an accountant before publishing.

3. The wellness disclaimer in Section 4 is your strongest legal shield. Don't shorten or soften it — every "should consult a healthcare professional" line in there protects you from liability if a customer claims the device didn't deliver medical results.

4. Privacy Policy — for that one, use Shopify's auto-generated template as-is. Privacy policies are heavily regulated (GDPR, CCPA) and Shopify keeps theirs compliant. Just make sure it says "Soft Hours" not "Resometic" and the contact email is yours.

If you've ever searched for help with wrist or hand discomfort, you know the feeling. The internet hands you a wall of the same thing: shouting headlines, fake countdown timers, "ENDED THEIR PAIN FOREVER," prices crossed out and slashed in red, before-and-after photos that promise the world.

Most of it is the same generic device. Marked up. Wrapped in panic.

I kept seeing people — people who just wanted to feel a little better at the end of a long day — pay too much for products designed to scare them into buying. The marketing did all the work. The product was an afterthought. And the experience of buying it felt stressful, which is a strange thing to feel when what you actually wanted was calm.

So I built the opposite.

What Soft Hours is

Soft Hours makes one thing well: a simple, considered light-therapy device for your wrists. No miracle claims. No urgency. No fear.

The idea is small on purpose. Ten quiet minutes a day. Red and near-infrared light, a little gentle warmth, wrapped around the wrist while you read, or work, or wind down. A wellness ritual — not a medical promise.

We're honest about what it is: a wellness tool, not a substitute for medical care. We'd rather tell you that plainly than dress it up. If you have a real medical condition, see a real professional. What we offer is the small daily thing — the ten minutes that belong to you.

What we believe

Calm sells nothing — and that's the point. We don't use countdown timers, fake stock warnings, or pressure. If the product is good, it doesn't need fear to move.

One thing, done properly. We're not trying to fill a catalogue. We're building a small family of light-therapy devices, one at a time, each one considered.

Honest words. We won't tell you we cure anything. We'll tell you what the device does, what it doesn't, and let you decide.

The ritual matters more than the claim. Ten minutes of quiet, every day, is worth more than any promise on a banner.

The name

Soft hours are the slow parts of the day. Early morning before everything starts. The evening after it all ends. The unhurried in-between. That's when the device is meant to be used — and it's the feeling the whole brand is built around.

Not the loud hours. The soft ones.

Thank you for being here.— The Soft Hours team
